The aim is to meet the growing need for mobility and relieve pressure on the Pöstlingbergbahn. On a route of 4.3 kilometers and a journey time of 14 minutes, the Pöstlingbergbus serves seven stations, namely Landgutstrasse, Bruckner University, Tiergarten, Schableder, Bergfriedhof, Pöstlingberg Schlössl and Pöstlingberg. There are even eight stations on the way into the valley, namely Pöstlingberg, Brandstetterweg, Götzlingstraße, Bergfriedhof, Schableder, Tiergarten, Bruckner University and Landgutstraße.

Attractive developments
The Pöstlingbergbus serves all nearby mountain railway stops along its route. The route along Hohestrasse also results in attractive developments: the Tiergarten in Linz and the growing settlement along Götzlingstrasse and on Eschenbachweg will have a direct stop and will benefit from the bus route through significantly improved access.
The new line will run alternately to the Pöstlingbergbahn every half hour.
