At around 7 p.m., the Bad Ischl volunteer fire department was called to a fire in a wooden shed in the Steinbruch district. The one-story building was fully ablaze, reports operations manager Jochen Eisl to OÖN. The fire brigade has now got the fire under control, but it will still be a few hours before the fire is extinguished. People or animals were never at risk because the building is about 100 meters away from the residential building.
Two gas bottles in the hut
The use of two gas bottles, each weighing 33 kilograms, which burned out in the building, made the operation more difficult. Her condition was checked using the thermal imaging camera. The building is in danger of collapsing and will probably have to be demolished. In addition to the Bad Ischl fire department, the Pfandl, Jainzen, Bad Goisern and Rettenbach fire departments are also on duty. Fire watch must be maintained all night.
