Ski jumping: Kramer celebrated third win of the season in Klingenthal

In the eleventh victory of her career, the Salzburg woman prevailed with 133 and 124.5 meters, 2.6 points ahead of the Norwegian Silje Opseth (133.5 / 123.5). With this, Kramer also extended her overall lead ahead of the German Katharina Althaus, who was seventh of the day, to 109 points. Daniela Iraschko-Stolz was eighth immediately ahead of Eva Pinkelnig.

Kramer had already been the best in qualifying the day before and also proved that in the competition. After a narrow half-time lead in front of Opseth (0.6 points), the 20-year-old from Pinzgau increased her credit to the Norwegian despite an imperfect landing in the final. “I’m very happy with the win,” said Kramer, “unfortunately the jumps weren’t quite as easy and easy as yesterday.” She hopes to “get better on the wave” in the second competition on Saturday, said the team world champion. In the final, the wind turned to a tailwind, and the conditions were difficult.

Opseth took her tenth podium but will have to wait for the first win. The Slovenian Ursa Bogataj was already 10.4 points behind in third place. The Austrians Chiara Kreuzer and Jacqueline Seifriedsberger positioned themselves in 14th and 15th place, Lisa Eder was classified in 21st.
