REED. “We are presenting the largest car dealership in Upper Austria over three days,” says Ried’s trade fair director Helmut Slezak before the 24th edition of the car trade fair, which will take place from next Friday to Sunday on an exhibition area of around 11,000 square meters in the Ried trade fair center. 35 car brands with 20 Austrian premieres will be on display. “We’re doing this car fair for people from the region. You can’t get this much information anywhere else,” says Wolfgang Deschberger, spokesman for the Ried district’s vehicle trade.
The “Mini Stammtisch Hausruck-Inn-Viertel” shows 17 special private exhibits in hall for the 65th birthday of the cult vehicle Mini.
Historic racing vehicles
The Ried Nostalgia Vehicle Club should not be missed at the car fair. This year the NFC Ried is showing mainly fast cars from the 70s under the motto “historic racing vehicles”. “We are pleased that we can present the ‘rolling museum’ again. The racing vehicles are exclusively private items. There has never been anything like this in Austria before. Most of the vehicles are also used in historical racing events,” says Sepp Erlachner, President of NFC Ried.
The car show is open Friday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and on Saturday and Sunday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Information and tickets are available at automesse-ried.at
