On Wednesday, the man from the Linz-Land district reported to the police. Of the money he had withdrawn the day before, seven 20 euro notes were missing. The 27-year-old was at his home at the time.
Since he had suspected that the woman had taken money from his in the past If the wallet could have been stolen, the man had photographed the banknotes with the serial number. The police compared the banknotes from the woman’s pocket with the photo. In fact, they were the 75-year-old’s banknotes.
The woman confessed to the attempted theft and was reported.
