A 44-year-old from the Braunau district was traveling on Weilhartstrasse from Braunau towards Schwand im Innkreis around 5:30 a.m.
In the town of Blankenbach in Ranshofen (Braunau), the vehicle crossed into the opposite lane on the slippery road. There it first hit an oncoming car driven by a 32-year-old. As a result, the 44-year-old crashed his car head-on into the car of a 23-year-old. All three vehicles were totaled.
The 44-year-old and the 23-year-old were injured in the accident and were taken to Braunau Hospital after receiving first aid.
