Yesterday the first four alleged members of a Linz drug gang were found guilty and sentenced to long prison terms. For example, a 39-year-old Austrian with Dominican roots who is said to have performed courier and auxiliary services for the “boss” of the gang. He received six years in prison. His brother was sentenced to five years in prison. The judgments are not final. Two other suspected accomplices each missed ten months.
The alleged “boss” of the gang will have to answer in court from Tuesday. The man was arrested at the airport in Milan. According to the police, the goods imported by air freight, which were hidden in the rods of wheeled suitcases and key fobs, are said to have had a sales value of 16 million euros.
