The Linz-based housing company WAG opened its new headquarters on Landwiedstrasse in the south of the state capital this week.
The building is a showcase project “through an innovative heating and cooling system for the office space and the residential tower using solar energy, heat pumps and intermediate storage,” says State Councilor for Economic Affairs Markus Achleitner. There are also charging stations for electric cars.
The WAG, whose owners are Raiffeisenlandesbank Oberösterreich, Hypo Oberösterreich, Wiener Städtische and OÖ. Insurance, the group owns around 27,000 apartments at 50 locations in Upper Austria, Lower Austria, Vienna, Salzburg and Styria. 273 employees are employed and sales amounted to 196.1 million euros in the 2022 financial year.
