The police drew a positive conclusion on Saturday evening: the demonstration was calm and coordinated. Police spokesman David Furtner speaks of 1,600 participants – the organizer even says 2,500 people took to the streets against the boys’ association ball in the Palais Kaufmännischer Verein.

The demonstration started shortly after 6 p.m., with a short delay, at AEC Square and ended with a final rally in front of the exclusion zone at the Palais.
“An evening to suit the taste of the police, a peaceful rally, a peaceful ball,” Furtner tells OÖN.
