The federal state with the most new cases is Lower Austria (+ 856), followed by Vienna (+ 823) and Upper Austria (+ 819).
Since the outbreak of the pandemic, 1,225,555 people across Germany have tested positive. Of these, 13,143 died, 1,138,722 are considered to have recovered. So there are currently 73,690 active cases. The number of new cases is below the average of the past seven days with 4610 daily cases – albeit only just barely. The seven-day incidence has fallen and is 362.5 cases per 100,000 population (after 394.5 the previous day).
