The teenager was arrested, police in the city of Elgin said. According to a police spokeswoman, the authorities were informed about the attack on the 58-year-old driver late on Friday evening. The man died of his injuries in hospital.
The bus company Stagecoach said it was “shocked and saddened”. There were initially no further details about the incident. Elgin, with around 23,000 residents, is located almost 60 kilometers northeast of Inverness.
