On December 16, 2022, the Grieskirchen brewery fulfilled its restructuring plan. The company filed for bankruptcy in 2020 and there was a restructuring process with self-administration (30 percent quota).

The owner of the brewery, Marcus Mautner Markhof, speaks to the “BezirksRundschau” of “liquidity difficulties”.
Another insolvency cannot be ruled out
According to him, it’s about the sharp increase in costs for energy and packaging materials. They are in the process of solving the problem and trying to raise money. He cannot rule out another bankruptcy. After insolvency occurs, a company must by law file for bankruptcy immediately, but within 60 days at the latest.
