Departure on deadline day at SV Ried: Midfielder Nikola Stosic is leaving the second division soccer team on the last day of the winter transfer period.
At the start of preparation, the club informed the 24-year-old that he would no longer play a role in the professional team’s plans. Most recently, Stosic was on trial training with second division leaders GAK, but his next club will be their city rivals Sturm Graz: The midfielder is joining the amateur team of the Black and Whites in the second highest division.
Ried lets Stosic, who would have had a contract until 2025, leave for free. He played a total of 50 competitive games for the Innviertel team.
