The ex-president Jose Mujica expressed his condolences after the death of the former president of Chile, Sebastián Piñera, by ensuring that “they had a good relationship”, beyond any type of political difference.
When speaking in dialogue with Efe, the former head of state recalled a trip to the Antarctica which they did together in January 2012, in which they visited the bases of both countries on the white continent.
On the other hand, in line with what was expressed by the president Luis Lacalle Pou about help efforts to obtain vaccines during the pandemic of Covid-19, Mujica He said he went with his wife, the former vice president Lucia Topolansky, to greet him at the hotel where he stayed to thank him for that gesture.
