Police shoot a man near Kensington Palace in London

An armed man was shot dead while detained outside Kensington Palace in London, The Guardian reported on December 11.

It is noted that eyewitnesses watched as a man with a firearm entered the bank and bookmakers in the vicinity of Marlows Road, and then got into the car and drove away. The witnesses immediately reported the incident to the police.

Fifteen minutes after the reports arrived, armed officers stopped the vehicle at the intersection of Kensington Road and Palace Gate, near Kensington Palace.

During the arrest, shots were fired. Doctors tried to help the man at the scene, but he died from his wounds.

Law enforcement agencies are investigating the identity of the shot man in order to contact his loved ones.

The incident is not considered terrorism, the police concluded.

Earlier, on September 26, police shot and killed a man who was walking with a weapon in his hands on Huntington Beach in the US state of California. As stated in the material, the US surfing championship was held on the beach. The police arrived at the call because of an armed man. He did not respond to the demand to abandon his weapon, was wounded during the arrest and subsequently died.
