The man was skiing down a black piste in the direction of “Paznauner Thaja” when he went over the edge of the piste at the end of the steep slope, fell into the free ski area and ended up lying around 28 meters below the edge of the piste. A Brit noticed the fall and started the rescue chain. The Pole died in the ski area.

Police said investigations into the exact cause of the accident were ongoing. She asked anyone who witnessed the accident to come forward.
