The total operation of the Uruguayan Electronic Stock Exchange (Bevsa) reached its highest level in the last ten years in January, totaling 7,758.6 million dollars, a figure driven by transactions in the Stock market.
After ending 2023 in clear growth, the activity of Bevsa grew by 16.6% if compared to the 6,656.3 million dollars in December, while, if compared to January 2023, the improvement was 22.2%, compared to the 6,348.7 million operated in that chance.

Regarding the composition, the Stock market mobilized a total of 5,249.7 million dollars in January, that figure is 27.8% higher than the 4,107.5 million in December and an increase of 37.9% compared to the same month in 2023.
Meanwhile, the money market It operated for 2,021.4 million dollars, which represented a drop of 5.8% compared to the 2,145.7 million of the previous month and an increase of 10.7% compared to the 1,825.4 million in January 2023.
Finally, the exchange market It represented 487.5 million, an increase of 20.9% compared to the 403.2 in December and a decrease of 32.1% compared to the 717.7 million in January 2023.
