It’s been a few decades since the carnival in Peuerbach really got going. Carnival fans in Peuerbach are trying to get back to this time. For the finale on Shrove Tuesday, the Sternenbetriebe and the city of Peuerbach invite you to a big carnival festival from 2 p.m. that will take place on the church square.
“We want to revive the carnival and this year we also have a prince couple, the chairman of the Star Companies Andras Kammerer and his wife Maria, who are advertising it at various events,” says Mayor Roland Schauer (citizen list), who is also a member of the new Elferrat.
People celebrate together at a long carnival table, and a humorist and the city boss are entertained on stage with musical performances. Visitors are provided with culinary delights at various stands. Afterwards the celebration continues in the Peuerbach restaurants.
“We are not yet a carnival stronghold like Raab, that is a different dimension, but what is not yet can still become, perhaps next year we will bring together a guard that will perform at events,” says Schauer, who will also be there in the evening will appear in the Wirtshaus Schrank at the end of the carnival.
The beer tapping is at 2 p.m., the first keg is sponsored by the star companies. Raffle tickets will be distributed among participants in the carnival spectacle, and there will be a small gift for masked children.
