The family – the seven-year-old girl and her parents (35 and 40 years old) – were traveling on the Kobernausser Landesstraße towards Ried. In the Neuhofen district of Gobrechtsham, a 39-year-old from the Ried district met them in her car. The woman overtook a tractor with a trailer and the cars collided.

The family escaped the accident with minor injuries, the police said, but had to be treated in Ried Hospital. The driver of the other vehicle did not require hospital treatment. Both cars were totaled.
