cosse, with presidential aspirations, sent the message within the framework of the Chinese New Year, in a gesture of rapprochement with the Asian giant, with which Uruguay signed last year a strategic alliance to enhance the business relationship.

“Chinese friends, in this new year let us toast our eternal friendship and work together for a world of peace and respect for the environment. Happy new year”, said the FA pre-candidate in her message, released through the social network X.
This is the second message with similar characteristics from cosse, who last year had already sent a message in the same language, of which he is a student at the Confucius Institute. Even the mayor already visited the Asian country on several occasions while she was Minister of Industry, Energy and Mining of the government of Tabaré Vázquez.

Cosse and a new international gesture
It is the second international gesture by the Broad Front leader in recent days, since on Wednesday she met with the head of the United States Southern Command, the general Laura Richardson who had previously held an official meeting with the Minister of National Defense, Javier García.
After the meeting, Cosse avoided the controversy over the PIT-CNT’s rejection of Richardson’s arrival and noted: “They asked us for a meeting and we gave it. We were talking about a program in which he participates. Montevideo together with Bloomberg and the Harvard University, and also the Johns Hopkins University.
Regarding the PIT-CNT’s criticism of Richardson, he limited himself to stating that “all social organizations have every right to express their opinion,” while indicating that “the controversy seems healthy to me for the Uruguay to the extent that issues that have to do with sovereignty are deepened.”
