The loss-making business of portlandwhich continues to be a thorn in the side of the autonomous entity’s board of directors, produced some 21,662 tons of cement with clinker – the main component – typical of Ancapcompared to the 28,016 tons it produced in the same month of 2022, that is, about 6,354 tons less.


However, 9,098 tons more were produced than during the month of November, when the figure had been 12,564 tons. For cement production that month, 100% of our own clinker was used, just like November, without having to resort to purchased clinker. In the month of September, 100% of production was based on purchased clinker, and in October, it was 24%.
April was the most productive month for Ancap’s Portland cement, June the worst
As for the extremes, the month with the highest production was April, where a total of about 25,542 tons was produced, even surpassing April 2022, a month that produced 25,050 tons. The least productive month was June, with 8,571 tons of portland cement.
The business of portland accumulated a production of 183,583 tons during the 12 months of last year, which means a monthly average of more than 15,298 tons. In December 2022, the production of portland It was 28,016 tons (the largest that year); while in 2021, it reached 21,746 tons.
