The man had observed how the 59-year-old’s car collided several times with the side of the makeshift center rail that separates the road from oncoming traffic in a construction site area between Thalgau and Mondsee. Nevertheless, she continued on undeterred. The witness alerted the police and drove after the woman.

She finally left the motorway at the Mondsee rest stop. There the witness spoke to her and immediately noticed that the woman was obviously very drunk. Since the driver wanted to continue driving, he even had to take the key from the unreasonable person until the police arrived. An alcohol test was very clear: the 59-year-old had a blood alcohol level of 2.46.

The officers were no longer able to take away the woman’s driver’s license because it had already been revoked.
