Fire brigade, rescue and police were on duty in the municipality of Altmünster on Rose Monday: fire broke out in a ground floor apartment in an apartment building around 2 p.m. 3 young people between the ages of 15 and 18 had to be taken from the fire apartment outside by the emergency services. Four respiratory protection teams from the Altmünster, Eben- and Nachsee, Neukirchen and Reindlmühl fire departments were able to prevent the flames from spreading to other rooms thanks to their rapid deployment.
4 children in hospital for check-ups
Because of the heavy smoke, the other residents also had to temporarily leave their apartments. Four children and one parent were taken to nearby hospitals for routine check-ups. The Altmünster fire department said she was now able to leave the hospital. The cause of the fire was almost certainly determined to be a defective power strip, the police said on Tuesday.
