Already in the morning, the first fools paraded through Braunau’s city center: students from the local elementary schools came in costumes together with their teachers and opened the carnival celebrations in Braunau with whistles and music.

Exuberant celebrations also in Ried and Mattighofen
The starting signal for the carnival in Rieder Bahnhofstrasse was given at 12 p.m. Over the course of the afternoon, numerous carnival fans gathered and celebrated the end of the fifth season. There was also a lot to see at the big carnival parade in Mattighofen: unusual costumes and an exuberant atmosphere – as was the case in the afternoon at the carnival party on the town square in Braunau with hundreds of carnival fans from all over the region.
