The Botanical Garden is popular all year round. “The tropical butterflies in particular brought a real visitor record to the Botanical Garden in January with almost 6,000 visitors,” says Climate City Councilor Eva Schobesberger (Greens). Anyone interested has the opportunity to take a close look at the 20 different species of tropical butterflies in the tropical house until February 25th. With a bit of luck, visitors can even watch the animals hatch.

The exhibition “Perfection and Elegance – the World of Tropical Orchids,” which opened at the weekend, also promises a colorful variety of shapes and colors and can be seen until March 17th. Unlike native species, which usually bloom between April and July, this is possible with tropical species at practically any time of the year.
