The emergency services from the FF Steyr and the police went out on a search operation in the dark on Wednesday evening at 5:50 p.m. A 92-year-old was reported missing from the Münichholz retirement and nursing home.

The search took place in the entire surrounding area – including the nearby Enns. A fire department drone was used. Luckily, with the help of the flying helper, who is equipped with a thermal imaging camera, the woman was found relatively quickly. She was located after about an hour of intensive searching in rough terrain near Haager Strasse.
The rescue team was able to take her hypothermically to the Steyr hospital.
