In an interview with radio Sarandí, Montero explained that the company’s board of directors is awaiting the result of the environmental impact study, which was presented during the last days of last year. “We believe that it should be authorized in July. At the same time, we are processing the ownership of the land” and also “the completion of the contract,” he said.

“We have the draft that was in the document, but we have to put it into practice and that takes a little work,” said Montero about the contract. “We are in those three parallel lines trying to reach the middle of the year with everything soon to be able to start the works,” he said.
The opening of specifications for the sanitation network could be on February 26
On the other hand, the leader reported that the opening of the specifications for the sanitation network was scheduled for February 7, but was moved to February 21, however, it could still be run until February 26 due to “some queries ” that appeared in recent days. “The opening will be in February, I assure you,” he said in this regard.
“It is a work of a similar amount to that of Arazatí (San José) but of a different conception, because it is a traditional mode of contracting, with public financing” stated the leader, who added: “Therefore, we think that the beginnings are going to be very similar in date, if everything is normal, we think that we can do the two works together”.
The 61 works distributed throughout the entire national territory will mean a leap in health matters for that number of localities, and will have their kickoff in La Paloma (Rocha). The main city contained in the project is Las Piedras (Canelones)whom Montero described as “huge” for the Uruguayan scale.
