On Thursday afternoon, a 74-year-old from the Perg district was driving his van on the B3 in the municipality of Baumgartenberg on the B3 towards Arbing. Also in his vehicle were a 4-year-old and a 5-year-old, both from the Perg district. The 74-year-old wanted to turn left at the intersection with the Deiming freight road, signaled left and reduced his speed. At this point, an 18-year-old from the Perg district was driving her car behind the van.
As the van turned, she crashed into the rear. The two boys were taken to Kepler University Hospital with injuries of an unspecified degree. The two drivers were also injured to an unspecified degree – they were taken to the UKH Linz.
