To ensure that this is successful, an experienced coach, Matija Erjavec, was hired in the summer. In addition, a new management team was recently elected.
Raimund Rieder will act as chairman in the future. He succeeds Christian Schachner, who handed over management of the club after 23 years. Stefan Kronberger has taken over the role of deputy chairman. Bernhard Eisl is also new to the board as deputy secretary.
Performance center as a wish
To ensure that the judoka remain successful in the future, the JUBS is planning to establish a judo performance center in the Innviertel. “The performance center in Linz is simply too far away for us. Our judoka need a good sporting basis and appropriate offerings,” explains Monika Kronberger, sporting director of the JUBS. For this reason, the Judo Union Burgkirchen-Schwand also wants to work with other judo clubs in the Innviertel.
