“For formal reasons,” emphasized EVN on Friday. The three wind turbines are currently standing still. The Supreme Court is demanding additional expertise on the matter that has already been extensively examined. The Lower Austrian supplier announced that an infrasound report would have to be submitted later. The issue of infrasound has accompanied wind power operators from the very beginning. “We now know that concerns about the effects of infrasound from wind turbines are unfounded,” explains EVN spokesman Stefan Zach.
Report with a positive result
So in the case of Japan, where wind turbines have been turning for almost 20 years, it’s not about a threat, but about a rule of law principle. “The new report has now been requested by the court and has already been issued. It comes to the same positive result as that in the approval process: nuisances or a health risk due to infrasound emissions from the wind farm are ruled out from a technical point of view. We are now hoping for a quick one decision so that the Japons wind farm can reliably produce green electricity again,” said Zach.
