Just before the start of the breeding season, members of Team Fritz/OÖVP Pregarten built 50 nesting boxes for songbirds. This implemented a specific goal of the Pregartner Climate and Nature Conservation Manifesto adopted in 2021.
The Nösterer family’s workshop in the town of Wiesing was used for the work. “When we met for work in the morning, Josef Nösterer had a big surprise for us: all 300 boards had already been perfectly pre-cut,” says Mayor Fritz Robeischl. The team was able to start work immediately. “A big thank you also goes to Anton Lengauer, who took a leading role in this important project and invested a lot of time in the preparation,” says Economic and Environmental Councilor Matthias Zwittag.
The finished nesting boxes are installed at Calvary and at the Foxtail biotope. The financial support of the Pregartner farmers also contributed significantly to the success of the environmental campaign.
