The Ministry of Tourism defined the beginning of the program that includes a 50% subsidy for hotel rates.
The program “Tourism for All” began this Sunday, a plan presented by the Ministry of Tourism which contemplates a 50% subsidy for hotel rates for workers with lower income at 55,593 pesos.
The initiative will govern 8 departments and aims to promote internal tourism at times when the high season ends, with the aim that destinations Uruguayans become more competitive against others Argentina and Brazil.
The program began this Sunday the 18th and will be valid until March 22, as confirmed by the Minister of Tourism, Tabaré Viera. Includes dependent and non-dependent workers who contribute to the Social Security Bank (BPS) or other boxes with a nominal personal income of up to 9 Base of Benefits and Contributions (BPC)that is, 55,593 pesos.
“Tourism for everyone” includes a package of five nights, four of which are subsidized at half the value, while the fifth will be a gift from the hotel, as specified See.
The leader specified that each beneficiary “will be able to stay with a companion, who will not be required to meet requirements linked to their income,” within the framework of a measure that also seeks to protect the small providers.
