The pressure on coach Thomas Tuchel is increasing: Kevin Stöger prepared Bochum’s 2-1 and scored the 3-1 with a penalty himself (78th). The penalty was caused by Dayot Upamecano, who also saw yellow/red.
“Everything that could go wrong went wrong,” said Tuchel disappointedly, but he still saw at least an improvement on the recent defeats against Leverkusen (0:3) and in the Champions League against Lazio Rome (0:1).
Bayern last lost three games in a row nine years ago, but they still celebrated the championship title under Pep Guardiola. Eight points behind Leverkusen, Tuchel referred to the previous season when Dortmund were intercepted. “The prerequisite is that we get on track.”
