The fire brigades in Bad Ischl recently showed that they can handle powder on Carnival Tuesday. The guard Pfandl even managed to win over the European MP Hannes Heide for his own version of the powder dance that has been discussed since the opening of the Capital of Culture.
On Monday, the Pfandl fire department had to deal with Puder again – but on a professional basis. Because screwing and drilling was taking place in a school on Kaltenbachstrasse, the workers sealed the fire alarms with disposable gloves as a precaution so that the dust would not trigger an alarm. But they made a mistake: powder was applied to the gloves – the fire alarm went off.
“The trigger was, of all things, powder,” says the Bad Ischl main fire station, which responded together with Pfandl. After a “brief review,” the operation was ended again. Probably with a smile on his face.
