The Vienna professional fire brigade extinguished the fire with a fire extinguishing line. The tenant was found inside the apartment by the fire department and taken out of the apartment, the police reported. The bedridden woman died on the spot. Fire investigators from the Vienna State Criminal Police Office searched the apartment. They determined the cause of the fire to be a technical defect.
