Uttendorf: Driver landed in Bach with 1.36 per mille and company car

The 32-year-old from the Braunau district drove his employer’s company van off the B147 in Uttendorf around 10:15 p.m. on Wednesday and ended up in the stream running parallel to the road.

With the help of following drivers, the driver of the accident was able to get out of the company car himself. After first aid, he was taken to hospital with injuries of an unspecified degree. The completely destroyed company car had to be lifted out of the stream bed by the fire department using a crane.

An alcohol test on the driver of the accident was positive: he had 1.36 per mille of alcohol in his blood.
