Michael Konczer, Markus Freiberger and Manuel Bosch complete the ten-man squad for the coming 2022 season for the Steyrer Hrinkow Advarics Cycleang professional cycling team.
After Markus Freiberger from Steyr has completed his studies, he wants to fully attack again in cycling. In the past two seasons he was only able to support the team to a limited extent. “But Freiberger has the class to get back on track within a very short time,” says Dominik Hrinkow, team principal of the Continental team.
Michael Konczer’s contract has also been extended. The Viennese are looking forward to his third season in the green and blue jersey. His tireless helper services make him particularly valuable for the Steyr team.
Manuel Bosch, who lives in Tyrol, is moving from the Felbermayr Wels team to Hrinkow Steyr. Bosch gained his first experience at the Continental team level with the Vorarlberg team. In the 2020 season, the native Swiss moved to Upper Austria with dual citizenship.
Luka Pajek and Stefan Kolb are no longer part of the Steyr squad. According to the Hrinkow team in a broadcast, one would have planned with the two powerhouses, but in the end, after misunderstandings with the management, they did not come to an agreement.
“Although we already have a strong ten-man squad, we would still like to keep looking for young talent,” says Dominik Hrinkow, “it could well be that we will add a driver.”
Jonas Rapp, Timon Loderer, Manuel Bosch, Jaka Primozic, Rainer Kepplinger, Daniel Eichinger, Michael Konczer, Markus Freiberger, Marvin Hammerschmid and Raphael Hammerschmid are already fixed in the Hrinkow squad for the 2022 season.
