It all started when a 38-year-old from Bosnia is said to have stolen medication from the bag of a 24-year-old woman from Linz around 2:15 p.m. on Wednesday. The younger woman didn’t want to put up with that and demanded the medication back – which the 38-year-old responded by allegedly pushing the 24-year-old away. This in turn brought a friend of the younger woman to the scene – a 39-year-old from Vienna.

The Viennese woman’s intervention turned the theft into a fight, reports the state police department: The 38-year-old Bosnian woman is said to have been knocked to the ground, whereupon the Viennese woman held her, while the 24-year-old Linzer woman hit the woman lying on the ground should have occurred.
Passers-by wanted to separate fighting women
Passers-by intervened and tried to separate the fighting women. Attempts were made several times to pull the 24-year-old away, who is said to have continued to kick and hit the Bosnian woman. At this point the police had already received numerous emergency calls.

Because passers-by intervened, the two women are said to have finally let go of the already injured Bosnian woman, but took the 38-year-old’s bags with them. The police were able to find and arrest all three women in the Volksgarten. It turned out that there were stolen sweaters in one of the Bosnian woman’s bags.

The Linz woman and the Viennese woman were taken to the Linz prison that evening, the Bosnian woman was taken to the hospital with injuries, but she was able to leave soon afterwards, according to the police. There are now several advertisements waiting for the three women.
