A US base near the Omar oil field in Deir ez-Zor province in Syria came under rocket fire. Reported by Riaalyoum on December 13th.
“Local sources in the province of Deir ez-Zor report that the base of the American occupation forces near the Omar oil field has come under rocket fire and a column of smoke is visible,” the newspaper said.
It is clarified that the US armed forces illegally control territories in the north and northeast of Syria – in the provinces of Deir ez-Zor, Al-Haseke and Raqqa, where the largest Syrian oil and gas fields are located.
Damascus has repeatedly called the presence of the US military on the territory of the country occupation and state piracy in order to outright steal oil.
On December 11, the deputy head of the center for reconciliation of the warring parties, Vladimir Kulit, said that as a result of the shelling of terrorists near the Kafer Mus point in Syria, four Syrian soldiers were wounded.
According to him, in November, 258 attacks were recorded by terrorists against government forces from the territory of the Idlib de-escalation zone. Mortar shelling by militants was carried out 163 times, from artillery pieces and MLRS installations – 47 times. In other cases, small arms were used.
