On Thursday evening, the Axberg fire department was alerted to an animal rescue. An owl got stuck in the chimney pipe of a residential building and could no longer free itself.
Since the animal was in the pipe at the level of the ground floor, the emergency services, together with the residents of the house, were able to free it “with a few courageous moves,” as the fire department reports on its homepage. The owl was unharmed and was released into the wild.

The fire brigade was on duty with 16 helpers and was able to return after a few minutes.
