A 32-year-old from Schwertberg (Perg district) was looking forward to her new game console when the delivery person rang her doorbell on Tuesday afternoon. She had ordered the console from a virtual marketplace on the Internet and agreed to hand it over in person.
But the supposed delivery person, a 23-year-old from Wiener Neustadt, turned out to be a fraud. Because in the package he delivered there were only old books. The 32-year-old refused to pay and immediately reported to the police by phone.
The officers were able to stop and arrest the 23-year-old who had fled with his car. At the interrogation he did not confess. He was reported at large, the police said on Tuesday evening.
