Mother and daughter killed in Vienna: father now main suspect

The spokesman for the state police department, Philipp Haßlinger, announced this on Saturday morning. The man – according to information from the APA is an accountant – has disappeared from the scene since the bodies were found. The search is “in full swing,” said Haßlinger. The bodies of the 51-year-old woman and her 13-year-old daughter were discovered in the family’s apartment on Friday morning.

The 51-year-old’s mother was worried and called the police because she could no longer reach her daughter and granddaughter. Officers opened the apartment and found the woman and the girl lifeless in the anteroom. The emergency doctor could only declare death for both of them.

Victim probably strangled or strangled

According to the police, “blunt force” was used on the victims – they were probably strangled or strangled. Confirmed details depend on the coroner’s findings. Meanwhile, the State Criminal Police Office, Body/Life investigation area, is clarifying the background to the bloody act and any motive. Witnesses are asked about the family situation and the family environment is also examined.
