It is thanks to an attentive bather that a child was saved in Linz’s Schörgenhubbad yesterday, Saturday, around 11 a.m. The seven-year-old boy from the Perg district was not wearing water wings and probably got into the swimming pool via a slide. His parents were nearby. When the child suddenly stopped surfacing, the bather dived under the water and brought the already unconscious boy to the surface.

The man lifted the child out of the water and started resuscitation efforts. Another woman who had observed the accident rushed to help, the police said in response to OÖN’s request. Thanks to the courageous efforts of the two bathers, the seven-year-old quickly regained consciousness. When the emergency services arrived, the boy was already responsive and was taken by emergency doctor to the Kepler University Hospital in Linz for further medical care.
