It stands for “Veloz” in Spanish, which means fast. The all-electric Cupra Born family will soon be expanded to include a racy VZ variant. And she has the talent.
The new Cupra Born VZ, which will be available to order from the middle of the year, has a powerful electric motor with 240 kW/326 hp on board. That’s an increase of 40 percent compared to the currently strongest Cupra Born e-Boost. Together with the maximum torque of 545 Newton meters, a lot of driving fun is guaranteed.

5.7 seconds to 100 km/h
The sprint to 100 km/h is completed in just 5.7 seconds – and the unrestrained propulsion only ends at an electronically limited 200 km/h. A sports suspension will be installed, the steering will be sporty and the braking feel will be more direct.

So that the fully electric Cupra Born VZ does not have to be at a charging station too often, the capacity of the battery pack has also been increased as the electric motor has increased in performance – from 77 to 79 kilowatt hours (kWh). Ideally, there should be a range of up to 570 kilometers – according to the WLTP standard.

Fast charging up to 185 kW
Charging is lightning-fast: 11 kilowatts (kW) find their way into the battery pack at the wallbox (AC), and at the fast charging station (DC) the electricity comes in at a maximum of 185 kW. Or to put it another way: A quick charge from ten to 80 percent battery level takes a good 25 minutes.
