The Uruguayan Mutual of Professional Soccer Players reported the new salaries that will apply until the last day of the year.

The Uruguayan Mutual of Professional Soccer Players (MUFP)also known simply as “la Mutual,” reported the new minimum wages (in force since February 1) that will be in force until the last day of the year for the footballers of the First division and the Second division professional.

The First Division of Uruguay established the new minimum wage at 60,053 pesos (almost 1,540 dollars according to the current interbank quote). According to this floor, a First Division soccer player without dependent children will receive a total amount of 48,249 pesos, while with dependent children it will be 47,382 pesos, the number of children depending on the discount from the National Health Fund (Fonasa).

If the player is between 18 and 21 years old, he will earn about 36,032 pesos (more than 922 dollars). If you do not have dependent children, the monthly income will be 29,970 pesos, and if you have children, about 28,529 pesos.

Those under 18 years of age will receive 50% of the minimum salary, that is, about 30,027 pesos (almost 767 dollars). If they do not have dependent children, they will have an income of 24,142 pesos, and if they do, 23,691 pesos.

Minimum salaries in the Second Division of Uruguayan football

Regarding the Second Division, the new minimum salary was established at 37,533 pesos (more than 960 dollars). Thus, a soccer player without dependent children will receive 30,177 pesos directly, and if he has dependent children it will be about 29,614 pesos, depending on the number of children.

Those players who are between 18 and 21 years old will earn 60% of the minimum salary, that is, 22,520 (more than $576). Those who do not have dependent children will receive “in hand” about 18,106 pesos, and those who do have them will receive 17,768 pesos.

Those under 18 years of age will earn 50% of the minimum wage, this is about 18,767 pesos (more than 480 dollars). Without dependent children they will receive about 15,089 pesos, and with dependent children, depending on the amount, about 14,807 pesos.
