Almost two weeks ago, the ChatGPT developer OpenAI, its major shareholder Microsoft, Meta and other technology companies committed to working together in the fight against election interference using AI.
In February, the online platform TikTok also announced that it would intensify the fight against misinformation ahead of the European elections. TikTok therefore wants to work with nine fact-checking organizations from Europe, which can check the accuracy of content in 18 different European languages. At the same time, the platform wants to flag all claims that cannot be verified. The EU Commission recently demanded more commitment from TikTok in the fight against fake news and hate speech.
