“At the national level, students in 7th, 8th or 9th grade up to 18 years of age, or 4th, 5th or 6th grade up to 20 years of age, who attend UTU, public secondary education or private with a full scholarship, and live more than 1 km from their educational center, they will receive 50 free tickets per month, extending this benefit to travel until December 15,” Hernández explained.
For his part, he assured that the funded program by the national government for all municipalities, has the objective of “encouraging and facilitating the attendance of students at educational centers throughout the country, which at the level of the interior of the country is carried out through the use of the subscription.”
The leader recalled that last year, only transportation within the Metropolitan area, More than 130,000 students accessed the benefit. This included the Urban Services of Montevideo, Departmental cannelloni and Suburban.
