Reversed roles on stage

Whether it is politically correct to call a woman a man remains to be seen. The fact is, however, that the theater in Aschach won’t care. The comedy “She is the man in the house” by Beate Irmisch is on the program from March 8th to 17th.

About the content: Everything goes as usual in the Laimer household. The everyday life of housewife Maria, played by Helga Schaumberger, is full of washing, ironing, cleaning and cooking – so that her husband Heinz (Franz Schaumberger), head of the family carpentry workshop, and their spoiled daughter Betty (Lisa Postlmayr) don’t lack for anything.

As if that wasn’t enough of a challenge, her father-in-law Viktor (Franz Kranawetter) and her mother Gerti (Maria Sieghartsleitner), both of whom also live in the house, argue at every opportunity. And they too are of the opinion that “the little bit of housekeeping” can’t be a problem.

Things only get really hectic when it comes to light that the company has run into financial difficulties. Maria accuses her Heinz of incompetence in the business, and Heinz accuses his Maria of running the household with his left hand. So they agree to an amusing deal: she takes over the management of the carpentry shop for 14 days and he runs the household. But the chaos becomes greater and leads to all sorts of turbulence, which is intensified by the involvement of the secretary Luise (Andrea Klauser) and the master glazier Gustav (Roland Mayer). And then there is the clever journeyman carpenter Hannes (Julian Sternwieser).

Eight people are on stage at six performances in the Aschach community center. As usual, there are vocal interludes integrated into the piece. The net proceeds will be donated.
