Six days after Ennsdorf native Max H. was killed on the Thai island of Ko Phangan, a touching scene occurred at the court hearing on Wednesday. Martina S., the victim’s sister, hugged the alleged perpetrator’s wife in the courtroom on Ko Samui. “They all still can’t believe what happened,” reports Martin H., a brother of the victim, who is in St. Valentin himself but is in constant contact with his sister there.

“It could take weeks or months”

“The procedure was carried out very professionally. My sister, Max’s girlfriend and all his friends are firmly convinced that justice will be served in Thailand,” says Martin H. All witnesses were heard on Wednesday, now the relatives have to come forward However, the 42-year-old who was killed should be patient. We have to wait and see what the public prosecutor’s office and the alleged perpetrator’s lawyer “please,” Martin H. told the OÖN. “It could take weeks or a few months.”

After a party, the Moroccan Anas R. is said to have killed Max H., who also worked as a DJ, with a steel object. The body had severe wounds on the head, was found next to a road last Thursday and, according to Martin H., has not yet been released. It is at the forensic medicine office in the Thai capital Bangkok. “We want to bring Max to Austria as quickly as possible,” says Martin H.
