Months of investigations increasingly confirmed the suspicion that a 30-year-old German had been up to mischief in Braunau on the night of November 13th. He is said to have broken into 16 cellar compartments in one night and stolen valuables. The amount of damage is in the five-digit euro range.
Just a few weeks after his thievery spree in the Innviertel, the 30-year-old was arrested in Switzerland – also for property crimes.
The task of securing evidence put a heavy burden on the German. However, he also confessed to his tour and is now being reported to the Ried public prosecutor.
